I was very apprehensive of taking my older machine in for repairs. Another quilting/repair store had been quite condescending about my machine. Thimblelina's was pleasant and nice. I was able to speak to the repairman and no one had any impolite or snide comments. They were all genuine and welcoming! The store is beautiful, big, and spacious with lots of fabric options and quilting advice. I highly recommend making the drive out.
Lovely shop, very nice staff. I saw a table runner on display but couldn't find the pattern. The staff looked everywhere then texted the owner who said it was next to the buttons! And after about 20 minutes of everyone looking found it. Next time I am in Livingston I will go to Thimblelina's.
Stopped in and was blown away by the selection of fabric, patterns, and friendly staff. Helped my husband and I pick out fabric for a crazy half square triangle quilt. Can't wait to go back.
While this store was packed with many quilting and sewing items, the employee I spoke with when I was there was not very knowledgeable on the subject of quilting. I feel like that is a pretty important part of having a quilt store, but that could just be me. Other than that the shop was clean and bright and they even have a classroom space. I am sure there are some other employees who work there and are more knowledgeable in their field, I just happened to go in when there was only one employee working who was not.
I initially called and had received very kind service over the phone. The young woman was even kind enough to send me pictures to assist me in my choices. I called back to confirm what I wanted and was greeted by a rude and unprofessional employee over the phone. Too bad, they missed a lucrative sales opportunity. I will be sure to not refer others to this establishment.
